To install you strip your 2 wires back a few millimetres then slide the connector over one of the wires to be joined. Then intermingle the strands of the 2 wires to be joined, slide back over the connector until the solder ring is centered over the intermingled strands. Gentle heat the connector from the center out to shrink the heatshrink and to melt the solder ring. Leave the joint to cool for a few seconds and it's job done, what could be simpler.
